Here I sit at an internet cafe.... at the next computer is a young monk in his saffron robes.... I am startled from my email writing when I suddenly hear a Thai song BLARING from seemingly nowhere.
From inside his robes the monk removes his phone and answers.
Ah, the juxtaposition of old and new can be seen everywhere.

Ah - juxtapositions can be quite delightful and amuzing. I'm reminded of exiting the 400 year old Ari mikvah in Tzfat, and standing next to a midget fellow in black garb and payus, busy chatting on a cell phone.
